Life is Beautiful Movie Review
This movie was a good movie showing what happened during the Holocaust. If I was in Guido’s or Dora’s shoes I would have done everything I can to protect my kid. Even if that’s risking my own life. I would want my kid to survive through this terrible event and live his/her best life and be happy with a big smile on his/her face. It was crazy how the father made it seem like it was a game for the kid so then the kid won’t be scared I don’t think I would have came up with that. I did feel sad at the end because I thought that Guido killed the Nazi guy but then I realized that he didn’t make it and it hurt me even more because the mom would have to tell the kid that the father didn’t make it. It also made me realize how many people lost so many parents and siblings and at the every end they figure out that they didn’t make it. One question I would want to ask one of the Nazi’s is if they ever felt bad burning and or shooting at the people in the concentration camps?

Are you the reason why ?
“Hey. It’s Hanna. Hanna Baker.” One of the most famous quotes in the tv show "Thirteen Reasons Why." In the book "Thirteen Reasons Why" a novel by Jay Asher that is young adult fiction. Clay Jensen gets a strange package and come to find out it's tapes recorded thirteen reasons why Hanna Baker committed suicide and Clay Jensen is one of them. As Clay Jensen goes back and forth listening to the tapes hearing the terrible things that people did to Hanna knowing that he could of stop it but he did realize it. I like this book because it has a really strong meaning behind it. This book talks about what mostly teenagers go through at school. Some teenagers go through some of these stages that they say in the book and people don't even realize it. The next thing you know, there gone. Knowing that you could have done something but you didn't. As I was reading this book it made me realize about kids at my school and how everybody is going through their own situations and we as teenagers don't even know it or even one silly mistake can ruin someone's life. Have you read the book and seen the tv show ? Tell me your thoughts about it?

Slice Of Pie
8th grade is coming to an end kinda sad but happy at the same time because I can’t wait to go to high school! Since 8th grade is coming to an end we as 8th graders have to see what high school we are going to and I decided to go to Motorn. One day I got home and got a mail from Morton and it told me what my classes are and it said that I have honor math, honor biology, honor english, and core history. I felt so proud of myself because I never thought I was going to get honor classes. That made my whole day even more better and I can’t wait to meet the new people in high school!

Wishtree
Do you ever wondered if animals, trees, plants could talk? In the book called the Wishtree by Katherine Applegate, there is a tree that goes on this journey to try and make someone’s wish come true. Every year on the first of May people from all over town gets a scraps of paper, tags, fabric , snippets of yarn, etc and go up to the wish tree and makes a wish. One day a new family moved into town with a daughter named Samar. As she knew about the wish tree she went up to the wish tree and whispered, “I wish.. for a friend.” Then the wish tree named Red and her animal friends which is a bird named Bong and other animals go on the this journey to try and make Samar next door neighbor named Stephen become friends. While trying to make Samar and Stephen friends people from town want to countdown Red (wishtree). One thing I love about this book is it made me think what if trees and animals did talk? Anyway now it’s your turn to find out if they countdown Red or if they make Samar and Stephen friends. Hopefully you read this book. if you do read this book, what were your thought and reaction to this book?

The Perfect House
If I were to have the perfect house, I would want it to be in the hill where I see the whole city. Having my family in the pool and just enjoying nature. Ughh wouldn’t that be great! Me personally I love nature, I love watching the city and hearing all the cars and noises of birds, ducks, bees, any kind of animal noises. In the backyard I would also have a section where you can have a cook out with your family and friends. I would love to have my own chef, I wish this was real! What would be your perfect house?

#ONEWORD2018
Grow that’s my one word. Now you guys may think why grow? I chose grow because grow has so many meaning to me it means I grow as a better person than I was before and not just me but other people around me. Me personally I like helping people even if it’s someone they need to talk to. From me choosing grow I can help people become a better person. For me to achieve this goal I will help people more than what I usually do by either becoming a friend to them or being there for them when they ever need it or just need someone in general just to see how they are doing. I would hold myself accountable with my word by checking up on friends maybe twice a week seeing how they doing, what they are planning over the weekend, or even just a simple “hey” and seeing what they are doing today and seeing if they want to hangout. Does my one word connect to you? What’s your one word?

If I Stay
“I edge closer and now I know that it’s not teddy lying there. It’s me”(pg.17). Imagine experiencing out-of-body experience after a car accident and seeing your mom and dad being zipped in a plastic bag by the paramedics, not finding your brother, and seeing yourself in the car covered in blood. What would you do? As Mia goes on this out-of-body experience on trying to finding her brother Teddy, and her family and friends waiting until she wakes up. This book If I Stay by Gayle Forman, takes you on an adventure that you never thought of. It makes you feel like you are Mia and you are trying to find your brother and seeing if you would wake up. The parts that really stick to me is the adventures that she takes when she is in the out-of-body experience and how this book takes place in one day. Read the book to find out if she ever find her brother? Or will she ever wake up?

The Sister Pact
You won’t believe what I just read! I read the book called The Sister Pact by Stacie Ramey It was so interesting because me personally I love reading books that are young adult fiction. In the book they are these two Sister one name Leah and Allie. Leah committed scuicide and in the book Allie is trying to figure out why Leah committed scuicide because her life seem so “perfect”. As the story continues problems come up with family and friends and she finds out secrets that her family including her own sister kept from her. Also finds out secrets that her friends kept from her too. One of my favorite part of the book is when Leah finds out why her sister killed herself and what Allie said about Leah really did speak out to me, but I can say what she said your are just going have to read the book to find out. I think this book really connects to people if you lost someone that was very special to you. I really do recommend this book! I hope you read it and tell me your thoughts about the book or even parts that you really like or spoke out to you!

1 quarter down 3 more to go
8 or 9 weeks have passed by already and we are already done with quarter 1! WHAT!? Like they say time does pass by really fast. Quarter one has been such a great quarter so far. I love all my classes, my teachers, and classmates are so nice and respectful. My grades are amazing I mostly have 3 and 4, I think the only thing I would change is to be a better student whenever I miss a day of school. Either text my teachers and ask them what did we do or ask one of my classmates. Just so I won’t be behind any of my classes when I come back. I love the clubs that I have joined in so far I am in Me To We which is a club that help people locally and internationally, I am also in Poms which is the girls that go and dance in halftime in the basketball games. I am also in National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) which is helping out your community in many ways. From that I hope for the best that I keep on doing good in school. How has your quarter 1 gone so far?

S T A N D O U T
This quote speaks so much about me. My whole life I always felt left out. Either it was with my friends or even my family. Throughout my whole life I've struggle with being the smallest person. Mostly with my friends I would always feel left out wether that was with being the smallest or not being more develope but, after years have passed I recognized that I am this way for a reason I was born to standout and to not be like other people. I’ve embraced how short I am and how I’m different from everbody els in this world.
Making Connections
The poem, “ Herd Behavior” and the novel, “ The Outsiders” show a really strong connection on how they stick together even when things get rough. The connections makes me think about the Greasers and Socs about when they in the rumble. For the reason being is that in the Outsiders when they were in the rumble all the Greasers stood up for each other and didn't let no one down because all the greasers were like a whole big family. Now in the poem Herd Behavior, it said, “All of the animals band closely together in a group and, in panic mode, move together as a unit.” It connected with the Outsiders because when something happens they all panic and move together as a whole and don't leave no one behind; they all stick up for each other. Another connection would be is that the herd behavior says that, “ It often has a connotation of irrationality, as people’s actions are driven by emotion rather than by thinking through a situation.” This quote connects to the Outsiders because the Greasers were mad at the Socs for jumping Ponyboy and Johnny. This led them to having a rumble instead of thinking it through. Overall the greasers always stand up for each other and never leave them behind as well as the Herd Behavior they always stay together. I really recommend this book because many people can relate to the book. They can make their own connections with the book and what the characters are going through.

The outsiders book & movie comparison
The Outsiders the movie and the novel have similarities. Both the novel and the movie are similar by when Ponyboy came home late for sleeping in the lot and Ponyboy getting hit by Darry for coming home late which made Ponyboy ran off with Jonny. Which was a big part in the book and the movie because that's what created the conflict of Jonny killing Bob later on in the movie and the book. Leading towards after Jonny killed Bob they went to Dally and Dally send them to the church which made Ponyboy and Jonny stay there for a couple of days and changed how they looked.
Not only that they were some differences that they had in the book and not in the movie. For example in the book when the greasers and the socs were ready for the rumble. Darry was telling the socs that who wants to fight him and the no one stood up to him, until a few seconds later Paul Holden stepped up to fight him, but in the movie Paul Holden was the first guy in front of the group of the socs and Darry started to talk to Paul right away. Forward on in the book when they were in the rumble Paul Holden hit Darry first and that's what started the rumble. On the other hand in the movie Ponyboy got punched in the face first and that's how the rumble started in the movie.
The actors and the directors did an amazing job. They acted like the actors how were described in the book. It really showed how it was back in the days and how they dressed up and how they acted. Another thing would be how they showed how they divide between the greasers and the Socs/ rich kids. It really did show amazing work on it was in past was and how it is different from now.

Living Life To the Fullest
I see myself in 10 years either going to college or a university. I will be studying to be a sign language interpreter while I'm going to a university or college I will try to volunteer around my community and play some volleyball. I will still be living in Berwyn. As I get older and if I want to move out I would either want to live in California because it's close to the beach and I would also like to live in Washington state because the forest is very beautiful to hike and lastly I would want to live in New Zealand is because the view is beautiful to look at. I'm going to living in a apartment ether with my friend or with my pets. If I live with my pets, I would want to have a Great Dane, husky, English bulldog, pug, golden retriever, or grey cat. I'm probably not going to get all the pets but I would want to have those type of dogs. Since I would like to travel a lot the type of car I would get is a Jeep Wrangler all mate white. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Coming Out To the World
As the sun was eating my face, sweat was dripping down my nose, I could taste my sweat. Next thing you know
SWHIIIT!!!!! as Mr. Miller the gym teacher blows his whistle
"Ok everybody we are going back to the school" Mr. Miller said
That's when I couldn't wait to go home. As me and my class mates start heading back to the school, we went to our gym lockers, to change into our uniforms. I get my belongings and head out. As I'm getting closer and closer to my house I can't wait to go on my bed and sleep all weekend.
SCREEE "I'm home" I said as I opened the door
"Hey you wanna watch a movie together?" My sister asked
"Sure, but I need to do my homework first, just get the food and I should be done with my homework by then, ok?"
"Ok" my sister said
I walked to my room to change into confterable cloths.
"HEIDIII!" My sister yelled
"WHAAAAAT!" I replied back
"Come to the kitchen" my sister responded
"I'm going " as I'm walking to the kitchen
This is where it all happened. As I'm walking to my kitchen I turned to my right once I got into the kitchen and I could see that something wasn't right.
"So.... I need to talk to you about something serious and like I don't want you to see me different I'm still the same person. So... , you know how girls are suppose to like boys, well I don't like boys I like girls, and it took me this long to tell you this because I always thought that the rule was a girl is suppose to like a guy but instead I see myself marring a girl instead of a guy and I don't want you to see me different like I said I'm still the same person it just I like girls instead of boys."
My eyes started to get watery and I just couldn't explain what I was feeling I was in shock at first but at the same time I was happy that she told me and she didn't have to keep this wall up, she can now be able to break that wall down.
As I've learned that not everybody is the same. Every person in this world is different from each other, because if every person in this world is different from each other because if every person was the same, this world would be just a boring blob and that I needed to accept what every person in this world is. No matter who you are everybody will always have a place in my heart.
